Giganatic Waterfall - secrets of the planets

Author's Comment

origonal: http://www.michaeljohnmeehan.com/Venezuela/ST%20of%20Angel%20Falls.jpg

the idea for this image came when i was googling on images whit google and i was thinking i could make a hell of a photomanipulation from that image. i added a astroid and the glow that is coming from it on the waterfall. i also gave the waterfall a more dangerous feeling. and i added a new ground. the orrigonal was a bit dull. i also added a planet to make it in the theme of images i'm currently making "secrets of planets". so more from this versions will folow.

this is the final version from my other versions from this waterfall. mayby i submit them later but this is the best and final product.

planet is a 3d Render from a friend of mine (made in Blender) and astroid made whit photoshop. a lot of colors adjustd from the origonal whit photoshop. also added a lot of fog and a better bottom whit Painter IX. to give the entire image a better feeling.

i hope you like it.

Very impressive. I'm especially fond of the asteriod. I'm a bit curious as to what techniques you used to get that result. Overall good job.

Just below the meteor, that green bit looks out of place. And the mist seems to just be in front of the picture, rather than actual mist (I know thats an abstract comment, but thats what I see at least).

Other than that, it's pretty freakin' awesome. I wish I had the money to get these things as posters for my bedroom.
