This is alkyd on unprimed Belgium linen.
I usually paint w/ a large palette w/ this image I kept it
very simple. The blue dolphin is almost monochromatic, as is the green and brown, and I build the frame by stretching the canvas with quarter round bars inverted, mounted on chinese red enameled wood.

The dolphin who is pregnant symbolizes the love and fidelity I have for my wife and family. The green treed area represents the safeness of the womb of home, while the brown treed area is the outside world.

This piece is 48" x 60"
also I used sapphire, emerald, gold and copper metallic wax.
