Pretty nice but it may be hard to see if you make it uber small, but you probably won't so it works. How did you make those little curvy things that come out of it?

Well, it's vectored. I took a few existing shapes that I liked, mirrored for symmetry, and just moved them around until I was comfortable with the whole thing. I actually have an updated version on the site itself, it's still a work in progress.

And you're right, it sucks when it's shrunk down, it really won't be very small (no smaller than 60% or so of this) and will reside in a sidebar of the website.
